a few gifts

My Christmas card, last minute. I would know that Macy's
face was all bright if I could see through my dang camera!
I made this for my brother and his family for Christmas.
I didn't make this, but I just love what it says and I had all the
grandkids hop on my moms lap over the summer so I could put
it in there.

calendars

I always make a calendar for my mom and Joe's mom for
Christmas. I made these all the way back in March because
I was worried once I had a baby I wouldn't have time so I
had to print off my own calendars from my computer.

I showed my friend and she wanted me to make her some for her
mom, mother-in-law and sister. They turned out really cute. I
love these calendars I found.

The tabs around the calendars are all the grandkids birthdays
of each month.

This last shot is blurry, but I just love the picture of her niece
so I had to show it anyway!

A few projects

Ever since we got our card group started I've just been in the
mood to do some crafts. Plus I like to get my Christmas/birthday
and other holiday stuff done early especially since I'm having a
baby soon.
Some of these are gifts so if you get it, I hope you like it!

I found this board for $1 and it had some ugly duck on it so I
just covered that up with some cute paper and added some
ribbon. Now it's a barrette holder for a baby shower or
something. The flowers I found at Michaels and I just added
a barrette to them. The little knob sitting at the top is to put
on the wall and then you can hang the board somewhere.
Same idea here, but just a frame. The flowers again are
barrettes.
This is a book that spells out FAMILY. I just decorated it and
then the person who gets it just adds pictures to the inside.
These are some cute and I found them on clearance for $3 at
Fred Meyer. The only bad thing about them is they take
F-O-R-E-V-E-R! I think about 5-6 hours to do.

Just some more blocked letters. This is just a photo box I had that I had old photos in and I never
got them out. I removed the insides and made it my card holder.
I just scrap booked some tabs and added all my homemade cards
in here.

I have about 5 or 6 things more to post, but I'll do it another time. They are Christmas presents so I'm a little leery about somebody seeing them!

crafty birthday present

This was a great birthday present I received from my
cousin/sister-in-law.
A cute frame with a fun picture.
A decorated box.
Then she attached all these cute tags onto things that she loved
about me or things that reminded her of me. i.e. you're athletic
and she had it taped to a ball. It was so fun to look through! Thanks
again Rachelle. I thought it would be fun to share this one.

Calendar

This is a calendar I've made for a Christmas present. Sorry
to the person who may see it, and then get it! I've made all
the calendar sheets removable so when the year is over it can
still be a photo book. I've already selected and put photos behind
them, but I won't show them so the person won't know right
away!

You get the idea. I got the boards with pre-cut holes and the
calendars at the scrapbook store Girlfriends downtown. The big
rings at office max and then I already had all the other supplies.
A fun project. I made two of these. The first one took about 8-10
hours and then my second one, maybe 4. It takes a bit to get the
hang of it, but I was trying to be way too creative with the rings,
using a different material. Once I bought the rings it was much
easier.

Crafts cause messes

This is what my craft table looks like when I get into
a project. I need to come up with a better system.

Another mirror. I originally made this for a gift, but may
keep it. It goes well with my room now. It looked clean until I took this picture!

This one isn't done either. I still need to sand the edges and
do some touch ups. Close enough though! It's paint and then
scrapbook paper. The brown strips on the sides are leather paper
with brads inserted.

Now I have to make one more for the gift. It's actually for a
prize for my bunco group in Dec. I can't decide which colors to
do that anybody could use in there house. What do you think?
